Menu for Hidden Hills Farm and Vineyard in Frederick, MD

It was love at first sip during our visit to Hidden Hills Farm and Vineyard. This winery is located on a horse farm in the heart... of Frederick County and they “specialize in growing grapes that thrive in Maryland’s climate.” We tried a variety oftheir most notable wines and I absolutely fell in love with their 2019 Baron. (42% PETIT VERDOT | 34% CABERNET SAUVIGNON | 24%SYRAH I BLACKBERRY I CIGAR BOX I SILKY TANNINS) The vineyard was absolutely beautiful and was the perfect scenery for relaxingand enjoying our tasting. The winery and the tasting room was beautiful. My husband and I each got a flight, but didn’t like them being served in... plastic cups and thought it affected the taste of the wine. Everything tasted the same. We tried a bottle of what we liked themost and WOW what a difference it made in the taste drinking out of glass. The goat cheese and crackers we had were really goodtoo. A cheese knife was provided which was a plus and appreciated. My biggest complaint was the staff. Jess was friendly andattentive. However I witnessed a passive-aggressive interaction with an employee M. and other customers. Then, when I wentinside to close my tab, I was ignored (except by Jess) because the other employees were too busy discussing the interactionbetween the customers and employee M. Hidden Hills was serving wine flights, so I got to the red flight and Dani got the mixed flight. The reds were noticeably oaked,... but only their reserve hit my too much French oak limit. We both enjoyed all of the wines in our tasting! Nice view from theoutdoor seating area, but expect some "fresh country air" from the equine. Read more

Great staff... Michael was awesome! Wine slushes were very refreshing. The grounds are beautiful. Only issue is all the wines... were dry ... Not bad, just no sweet wines. Read more
