Loved the home cooked food here! My daughter ordered the goat stew and I had the oxtail. It was absolutely delicious! My one... year olds ate until their tummies were stuffed and that says a lot because they are such picky eaters! They also loved the hostand her friendly welcoming spirit. Finally stopped in at the award-winning Motherland Kitchen for an amazing lunch! The owner is proud of her cooking and happy to... explain all the details to you. Her menu is expansive and includes plenty of options for omnivores and vegans alike and canaccommodate those with gluten sensitivities. I had the goat stew with cassava water fufu and opted to eat it the traditionalway, and appreciated every flavorful bite. She also has her own cookbook and line of delicious spices. Our first time and to my surprise, my kid (with a gluten and dairy sensitivity) loved it--so much so that he complimented it... when the staff came by a little later, something he's never done on his own. I was nervous because I thought he'd not like thespices since he's never had African or Caribbean food, but he loved the grilled chicken, plantains and part of my rice/beans.
