Stopped for breakfast. The service was slow it took over an hour to get our food and then all of it was cold. The bacon... undercooked, hashbrowns cold, undercooked and soggy, the sausage tasted like pre-made kind and was cold, the gravy tasteless, and the smoked pork was cold like it had just come out of the fridge. They weren't crowded. Read more

I started eating at The Pig in the 1950s and made it a point to eat there any time I drove thru Fredericktown. I had not been... there for at least 15 years and had almost forgotten about the place when a friend mentioned it. My wife and a friend decidedto take a day trip just to eat at The Pig. Folks I have never been so disappointed as.i was on this visit. It was awful. Iordered 2 Double Heat, Brown bar,- B-Q sandwiches and fries. The fries were good. The sandwiches had tough, leathery, bitter, dry pieces of meat and not a drop of sauce on either sandwich. I could not choke down even one sandwich, and the sweet, tangy, smoky flavor I remembered was no where to be found. I brought the other sandwich home and pitched it the next day. In fairness,my wife had a burger and friend had a tenderloin which they said were ok, but my memories of a terrific Bar-B-Que at The Pigwere ruined. Read more

Finally got to the pig and enjoyed it immensely! The food was great and so was the atmosphere. I got the Mince and cheese... covered curly fries. The Mince was not your average pulled pork sandwich because the sauce really made it pop. The curly fries, and especially the cheese, were great; though the portion size was pretty small. The place definitely gives that old time dinervibe. The people were pretty polite, a d especially pleasant to my toddler. Will be returning for sure! Read more
