Penny's diner has always been a favorite of mine, but this one takes the cake. Josh was an amazing host/ waiter/ cook and an all... around good guy. He's friendly and welcoming. No just no! Run away! First this place is dirty. We were looking for a different diner. We went to leave but the staff promised... we'd love it, so we stayed. Big mistake. There was a child that appeared to belong to someone in the staff, that was runningaround and being thrown around by our server. Loud and completely out of place. Server continued to talk to us while we waitedfor our food, conversation was awkward and not appropriate when you are trying to enjoy the company you arrive with. Whatappeared to be staff was sitting eating and not helping in the kitchen. Food took almost an hour for almost no one in theplace. Fries were burnt and smelled like old oil. Went to this cute little diner today and got no service whatsoever. We sat at a table for 10 minutes, nobody came to take our... order. My husband went to the counter, nobody was there. The door rings a bell when opened, so my husband opened the door andsomeone came out. It was a heavyset women with short dark hair and glasses. She did not acknowledge my husband at. I used to go to Pennys a couple years back and had no problem. It?s incredibly sad how bad it has gotten. One late night my... family and I stopped there since no other place was open besides McDonald?s and boy I was very disappointed. The server was thecook and gave us an attitude the whole time. The food was not completely cooked, pancakes were extremely huge falling out of theplate. She messed up our orders and got mad that we let her know. We didn?t want to be rude since she was the only person so wetold her to not worry about it. We still ate whatever we had and regret it because we had an upset stomach all night.
