Just went here with two other friends and they had similar experiences: The waffle fries and soda were the best part of my... meal. I got the original spice (wasn't spicy, just smoky and reminded me of chicken mole) which had an interesting flavor, ifon a generally better sandwich I'd have enjoyed it more. The chicken was dry, came with all the pickles stacked on one side andnot layed out, the slaw was a mound, the bread looked fluffier than it ended up being, and the sauce just did not taste good(diluted, overly sweet, ratios generally off). Other than the presentation being great from a glance, I'd be embarrassed tosuggest this place for chicken sandwiches. Read more
I?ve ate here about once or twice for the past month and a half and I San honestly say that the food was really good. Let me... get this out of the way, the first time I ordered a milkshake I wasn?t satisfied. I felt like I was drinking blended ice withcondensed milk. It wasn?t blended properly at all. (If you want a proper one go to jacks, that?s where I work????. We also selllemonade and tea, but you don?t see is using it as a selling point, just saying???????????) Once I went in to get a grilledchicken sandwich and waited 17 minutes when the cashier said it would be about 5 minutes. Other than that every time I?veordered the chicken has been fresh and hot. Once I even got a piece that still had steam and juice inside. The fries havealways been cooked properly and they?re always hot. The staff are really nice and patient. Especially when you get confusedabout the heat level. The bathrooms are also really clean. This is a hard one to rate because I so wanted it to be a 5 star place but a few things just didn't warrant a 5th Star. The bun... was good the chicken was very crispy and the beading was very flavorful. The part that fall short was the chicken itself, itlacked any flavor I thought what a shame they didn't put a little bit of spice on the chicken before it was breaded, even somesalt and pepper would have helped. We like hot chicken and are always on the look out to try new places. Unfortunately, we were not too impressed by Clydes. We... ordered a family pack which has 4 menu items and we were allowed only one heat level. Didn't make sense..a whole family doesn'tnecessarily have the same heat level choices. This was my first time eating at Clyde's. I literally pass this place everyday. Today 6/10/22, I decided to give it a try and... boy I'm glad I did. I got the wings with mild heat. The flavors on this chicken really open up your taste buds. The taste ofthe chicken has this sweet but spicy taste to it. If you love dill pickles they surely give you enough to savor the flavor.Their chicken is something that will definitely make your pallet OH SO HAPPY-HAPPY! So If you're ever in Fullerton please stopin. The staff there are super friendly and professional. You just can't come to the OC without stoping at Original Clyde's Hotchicken.
