Hey if you?ve lived in Gainesville for any time at all then you know about the rich history and great tradition that this... restaurant has in the community. Tebow dinned here when he decided to stay for his senior year (smart move) but what you may notknow is that they have an Amazing Avocado ???? grilled app with cheese that is delicious! The bourbon wings are on point withjust the right amount of spice and sauce that were perfect with blue cheese ????. The drafts are ice cold and all localbreweries. So dine where the Gators ???? eat. This was too much like a loud bar. We had oysters and sat at the bar. Since we weren't drinking the bartenders ignored us until... I waved and she took our order. But the 2 ladies had a lot to cover. The food was excellent. It just isn't my kind of place..Iam not a big drinker at all. I went for oysters....that was great. But did not expect a bar scene. My family and I decided to go out to Ballyhoos for a great dinner. We have been coming here for over 10 years. I don?t know... what happened to this place. This was the best restaurant in town. The service was poor. No one acknowledged us at the tableover 5 minutes, it took over 15 minutes to get drinks and over 30 minutes to get appetizers. The food was ok. Our waiter wasnice but did not check on us very often. It seemed as if no one knew what is going on. It was so hot in the restaurant as well,that didn?t help the over two hours to eat. I am so disappointed and this will be the last time I visit this place. Such ashame. The owner need to listen and walk around and see what?s going on.
