I've ordered takeout from here three times since moving to Gainesville, after spending 8 of the last 9 years in Texas. And I can... already say this will be my go-to for BBQ. I've had the nachos, pulled pork, brisket, and shrimp (also beans, mac n cheese, andfries). All were excellent and--importantly--the portions were generous. There's nothing I hate more than when restaurants skimpon portions or ingredients, but you won't find that here. The prices are also VERY reasonable. In fact, with theprices-to-portions ratios I was used to from TX and NJ, I over-ordered my first time. And the service has been great every timeso far, though I've only dealt with the hostesses. Mojo Hogtown BBQ has hip vibes and tasty ribs. Portions are huge. We had the two meat combos, including north carolina pork, st... louis spare ribs, and beef brisket. The brisket was tender. First time at this location. Had the BBQ Burger with fries and it was great. Service unfortunately kinda sucked. After we... received our drinks (party of 4) we were ready to order and the waitress just takes off. 15 minutes later she shows back up totake our order. Food came out pretty quick. None of us where ever able to get any refills on our drinks :( After we finished, wewaited a good while until we finally got our check. I can understand if they were busy but there was only 7 tables total thatwere occupied and plenty of staff.
