We are new to the area and decided to try Urban Tandoor -- which definitely proved to be a great decision. Customer service was... great. The new owner explained that he had only been open a month. We tried 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and the naan andeverything was amazing, but my favorite was the Chicken Masala. I will definitely be going back to try even more of their menuitems because something tells me there's probably not one bad dish. Highly recommend Urban Tandoor! Read more
Very bad experience! We arrived at 1:40 pm on Sunday, 7/10/22 and were told to order in 5 minutes as the restaurant will close... at 2: 15. I said that's fine, we can order but will we be allowed to finish our food the person kept quiet. We left and therestaurant lost business for 8 people. I called yesterday, 7/11/22 to pass this information to the owner but was unable toconnect with the owner. I left the msg with the manager who hesitantly said, he will give my message to the owner. Me and my coworkers ordered three entrees last night - we all loved the flavors and the freshness of the food! We even argued... whose food tasted better and decided that we totally need to go there in person soon and order a ton of things to share andenjoy! In the meantime - tandoori chicken was amazing, but goat cheese naan (I didn’t even know such kind existed) is out ofthis world good! Read more
I think most of these complaints come from the competition. I am a picky eater. Look at my past reviews, I call it exactly as I... see it, I could care less if your business fails. If you screw me, people are going to know. I have the following. Now on tothe review. Urban Tandoor is by far the best Indian food in the Gainesville area, maybe even the western PWC area as well. I ama picky 50 year old white male raised in PWC. I like my meat and potatoes. I do love other flavors when done right. UrbanTandoor does them perfect. I have had appetizers, main courses and even things I had no idea what the hell I was getting. Themeats were tender, the sauces were different and tasty. The apps were well worth the money. I might have a bad meal from them,it’s possible. I have had enough great meals that I can let one or two slide if that happens. Yes, I will let them know, Iwill expect a credit or a replacement.
