I stopped in today, Sunday, 10/9/2022. I purchased sides, the collard/kale greens and the mac & cheese to accompany a roast... chicken that I cooked at home. Both sides were very good! The food was NOT salty in my opinion, in fact I added a little saltto the greens. The service was quick and polite. I did not realize it at the time but as I was waiting for my carry out I hadvery nice chat with the owner. I don't particularly like chicken, but, I will return soon to try the fish dinner. Read more
My wife and I were feeling soul food. We didn't even know this spot existed until we googled it. Hands down some of the best we... ever had. The whiting fish was fried and seasoned very well. Same with the chicken wings. Candied yams, and Mac and cheese werephenomenal. Collard greens were a bit bland yet good. Great portion sizes too. Highly recommended spot for southern food in thearea. I?m not sure what happened today, but I feel like I completely out of 45$. The fish taste like it was cooked in old grease and... no flavor, the mac and cheese taste like plain unseasoned noodle, the kale greens were just okay, the string beans were belowaverage, and the cabbage was pretty good, the only thing that had some flavor. I spent the beginning of my birthday here and I must say I was so pleasantly impressed. I?m glad I went despite the reviews of... salty food because the food was so perfect. I got the chicken and waffles the chicken was fried to perfection and seasoned sowell I was so happy. The waffle was light and crispy just how I like it the bang bang shrimp was banging and the fries were softbut lightly fried just how I like it as well. The Customer Service was on point they constantly checked on me to make sure I hadwhat I needed and that the food was just righ.
