Rudy & Paco is beyond awesome. Our server Chloe was one of the best servers we've had in years. The food was excellent. I would... drive the 4 hours to come to Galveston just to have the great experience again. Read more

Came to Rudy & Paco for our 30th anniversary as we wanted a special, romantic meal. This place was amazing! The central/south... American flavors run through the menu and the wine selection is vast. Every sauce we had - whether it came with the plantainchips served upon seating, or the sauce served with the empanadas, or the fresh made ranch dressing, or the raspberry chipotlesauce served with the snapper - were ALL incomparable. Owner Paco Vargas was there to ensure his customers were all very happy, and the serving staff made a very positive impression. Having each dish placed synchronously at the table was something you onlysee at the finest establishments. Very impressive! They provided the perfect amount of service while allowing time for enjoyingyour private dining moments. We ended the evening very full but still ordered dessert, because when you are someplace with foodthis excellent you want to see if the quality extends into a sweet conclusion. Ordered the Quattro Leche...the dulce le lechewas just like homemade. If you have any memories of how your grandmother made dulce le leche from scratch, this will send youback to those days.???? Simply amazing. We will return anytime we are in Galveston! Thank you for making our anniversary sospecial and memorable. ?? Read more

The crab cakes were the best I have ever had. Fantastic food all the way around. Heads up, they do have a dress code.

I hate giving Rudy and Paco’s 4 stars, but my main course was a huge miss, and our waiter was very pushy and not personable at... all. I got the grouper special. It was supposed to be a “creole” sauce on top, but it was a tomato base sauce thatcompletely overpowered the grouper. The green beans on the side were literally not seasoned at all. The potatoes were greatthough. $48 wasted. Pretty expensive for a piece of grouper that you couldn’t even taste. My wife had the pollo empanizado. Itwas great! Highly recommended. We also shared the crab cake which was fantastic. The waiter was very pushy to take our drinkorder, food order, and clearly wanted to just flip the table. He was diligent, but obviously didn’t care about our experienceat all. We usually love this place, but I think between my main course being a huge miss, and the waiter, we will not bereturning to Rudy and Pacos. Read more
