Been here twice in a week first time service was slow. Second time food come out cold!!!! Couldn't get drink refills. Servers... were all just hanging out. Barley checked on us and tables around. Read more
Since the pandemic, I think all the restaurants think no one has taste buds! My husband had double crunch shrimp, garlic mashed... potatoes and coleslaw. The shrimp were small and limp. The potatoes were not garlic and instant, but the coleslaw was good. Big group was in front of us 10 people, my companion entered the door, and was seated, I however was bumped back out of the door... and pushed out of the restaurant. I waited a few minutes for the big group to clear out of the doorway and reentered a young manwho's speech was slured and ear phones in his ears greeted me. With a smirk as he was forced to remove one ear bud, I told himmy companion was already seated, I looked into the restaurant, and did not see my companion, realizing your employee hadabsolutely no desire to help me find the table I left, finally after 10 or 15 minutes my companion called me and by this timethere was no way in hell I was ever going into an Applebee's again. Went into the Garden City, KS location this evening (7/16/22). The place was not super busy and when walking inside no host was... present nor signage to take a seat or wait to be seated. After a few minutes we were greeted and offered I high top table (usually at the bar areas) for 6 of us. I have 2 small children and not only is it not safe but technically illegal in a sensefor many reasons. When finally seated we were given 1 menu and 2 children's menus and a good 15 minute wait to be acknowledged.When the young waiter approached I asked him if it was normal to hand 1 menu to the table and was given a horrible attitude. Itold him we would take our business elsewhere if that's the way it was going to be and he had no issues saying see yalater...good news though, ended up just down the road at a place called Rib Crib and was absolutely delicious..skip Applebee'sand head down the road or anywhere but there! Dined in and regretted every moment I wasted there. From cold food, forgotten appetizer, oblivious waitress, and a lazy... manager. Many of the staff just huddled together by the door and no one seemed to care about customer service at all. Evenwhen the manager came to our table for the second time he dropped off the ticket and paid no mind to actually helping us justpay to get out of there. We actually had to go to the bar to get the bartender to hunt down our server just to pay. Horrible. Read more
