September 2022 update: Tried the Spicy Potatos. Really good. Fried with cilantro, butter, little garlic, unexpectedly... tasty. "Al Tayeb" roughly translates into "The Delicious" in English, and that would be an accurate name for thisrestaurant. Outstanding service, and everything was plated with much attention to detail. Let's just come right out and sayit, AlTayeb has the BEST Falafel in the area, bar none. Even if you don't generally like falafel, you should try it here andlet it become one of your favorites. A broad in the parking lot was fumbling for her keys, when her bag tore open, and afalafel escaped, rolling a few feet. She instantly scrambled to pick it up. She looked up and saw that I had seen what she haddone; and said "Normally I would never pick food off the ground, but these are so good!". I uncomfortably laughed, but thatdoes tell you something about these falafel. Another good dish is the Labneh and Zaatar. Picture a fresh soft cheese (maybehalfway between yogurt and cream cheese), with a pile of spices on top. Fresh, simple, delicious. If you are there forbreakfast, you can't beat the Eggs & Sujuk. Hospitable owners and staff providing amazing service and delicious food. As a Lebanese American individual, I search for food... that reminds me of my mother?s cooking. I have tried many restaurants including Altayeb in Dearborn, but the Altayeb in Gardencity was the only restaurant that matched the flavors I look for. I have eaten so many times at this location during the lastcouple of years. I have tried almost every item on their menu. Everything I have tasted was perfectly seasoned andauthentically prepared the Lebanese way. I look forward to having another delicious breakfast and friendly customer service. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Food was absolutely incredible. Such a unique gem hidden in plain sight.... Easily the best brunch place in a 40 mile radius. Food was so flavorful and fresh...and don't even get me started on the hummus????????. Service was personable and joyful. Treated us like guests in their home, with an enthusiastic drive to make ourbellies full and put a smile on our face. Will definitely be back! Read more

AlTayeb?s food and customer service is 10/10! The food is absolutely delicious! We ordered the falafel, labneh with zaatar, eggs... with potatoes, and balila. Maher provided exceptional service, treating us like family and suggesting a couple other must-tryitems, including the hummus and mosabaha. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. It was also super affordable. We werevisiting from out of town, but if we lived closer, we would easily eat there several times a week! Read more
