Excellent bar-b-que! The ribs in particular were very good and so was my Brisket sandwich. For sides, garlic mashed potatoes and... sweet potatoe fries were great. While cruising through Gardnerville, we spotted Sonneys BBQ Shake and decided to stop. The wife was surprised to see beef ribs... on the menu and ordered a combo plate with beef rib and brisket. She really enjoyed the ribs. A good bark with just a hint ofspicy heat. The brisket looked great. I had a beef burger with a side salad. The burger wasn't the best ever but it was verygood. The patty had a nice crust and I could taste beef with the BBQ sauce I added. Service was good. Interior is rustic witha hunting theme going. I could see a full service bar from our table. The bar had some sort of sports on the overhead TV. Anoverall good experience. I would rate Sonneys in the top three or four BBQ places in the Reno/Carson/Minden area. Read more
I went in there on a whim, I was just passing through and I have got to say, this place was phenomenal! The service was awesome,... the portions were very large, and the quality was *chefs kiss* but in all seriousness I highly recommend this place. I've eatenat almost every BBQ joint in western Nevada and Sonney's did not disappoint. Read more

Once we parked in the ample parking lot. We could smell the BBQ cooking as we walked in. The service was good. The ribs were... good, as they should be. The pulled pork sandwich was adequate. The brisket was one of the best we have had in a restaurant. Itwas juicy tender and flavorful. You get plenty to eat and shouldn't be hungry when you leave. I would suggest going through themenu before you get there as some items may make you change your mind with the price. Read more
