Chef Ne is not only one of the friendliest people, but one of the best chefs around! I had the pleasure of eating her food... today for the first time and it was awesome! Being from Chicago, my bar for good food is pretty high and Taste of Happynesscleats it... easily. Chef Ne's food is creative comfort food. She is able to put a little touch of flare and a whole lottalove into some classic bbq-soul food. Today's menu had burnt ends, smoked chicken gumbo, smoked mac n cheese, collard greens,corn bread, cowboy baked beans (of course with bacon and burnt ends), and smoked pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream! Yes,smoked pie! All of it was delicious! Eating amazing food at a picnic table in front of an antique/ thrift store on a beautiful,sunny Arkansas afternoon was more than just a taste of Happyness - it was a full meal! The only bad part is that she is notopen every day. You have to checkout the Taste of Happyness page on Facebook to confirm days she is open, but it is typicallyFriday, Saturday, and Sunday.
