Our first time trying JD Shuckers and we were so disappointed. Usually I do not bother to give a restaurant a review if I've had... a subpar experience but something made me write this one. To start, unfortunately our waitress wasn't very friendly. I used towork in a restaurant. I understand how terribly waitstaff can be treated at times by customers and how stressful busy shifts canbe. I do not know if she was having an off day, if she was tired after the evening rush, or if there was something about us shedidn't like. I really don't know, but her behavior made us feel uncomfortable during our visit. She never gave her name and wasvery short with us. We ordered drinks and she immediately left before we could order an appetizer. My partner received theirdrink soon after but it took about 20 minutes for mine to arrive. Not sure why as I didn't order a cocktail or milkshake. About10 minutes before this, our waitress showed back up and we were able to order food. I was trying to ask her opinions on the sidedishes and she was again short. It seemed like she didn't want to speak to us more than she had to. Our appetizer came outprobably 5 minutes before our entrees did. It had no seasoning and was very greasy. There was oil coating the plate. Ourentrees arrived and the meat had no seasoning for either meal. Not even salt. I will say the side dishes I got with mine weregood, but my partner's fries were greasy. I don't think the oil the kitchen was using to fry in that night was hot enough. Ittook probably 10 minutes after finishing our meals before our waitress came with the bill. I had been thinking about tryingtheir cheesecake but she didn't offer us a dessert menu. Just the bill that she already printed off. So again, verydisappointed with JD Shuckers. My experience here was great the food was good the service was great! I wish my clams were average size but they were rather... small like something I could?ve picked up in the super market for about $7. They were fresh and tasty though! Read more
