Hidden Gem! Backdrop is a scene to a secret garden. Service to the 9?s. Well worth our wait. Immediately felt like home when we... were escorted back to our table in the courtyard. We came just in time for the most perfect fall weather, but a cozy nook insideduring cold season would have hosted just the same. The menu was perfection and you can taste Chef Karl?s passion in his food.Rob was timely with all of our needs; we are so glad we avoided the tourist traps for our date night out in Gettysburg. I'm a local and have been going to George's at The Swope every Sunday for the past few months. The food is fabulous! My "go to"... items are the T-Bone Steak, Shrimp and Scallop Scampi with Squid Ink noodles, Chef Karl's famous crab cakes and the CapreseSalad. Everything is cooked to perfection and is fresh! The Caprese Salad is literally AMAZING. The tomatoes used are fresh anda lot of the herbs used in the dishes are grown in the Swope mini garden off the patio. So many wonderful entree's to choosefrom. You not only get a side salad accompanied by a homemade champagne vinaigrette, but two additional sides as well. There isplenty to choose from on the menu.
