Hands down beat authentic Mexican restaurant in Gilbert. We had the guacamole accompanied by the chups and salsa served as your... seated. Guacamole was chunky and no fruit added to it like other local places. Salsa has a bite but not hot. Carne asada on thepresidente plate reminded me of being in Mexico. The presidente plate comes with Carne asada, enchilada and Chile relleno... ALLabsolutely wonderful and the borrocho beans as well as the rice were excellent. Wife had the tacos and includes 3 tacos.. Carneasada, carnitas and shrimp... wow!! After a few ice cold draft beers with dinner we capped it off with churros..church's...mmmmmmmmm and a tres leches dessert drink as well as an adult Mexican coffee... Our bartender/server Marshall topped it all off. Finally, Mexican food without New Mexico or Santa Fe or Tex Mex anywhere on the menu nor hindering the authentic flavors of trueMexican food. Amazing experience Read more

This area of Gilbert has been needing a nice ,local Mexican restaurant - this may be it! My wife and I ate lunch at the... (fairly large) their signature cocktail selection was good, tequila based of course. I enjoyed my Paloma but could have passedon the Mexican Old Fashion and my wife?s prickly pear margarita was sweet and tasty. We usually judge Mexican restaurants bytheir salsa, and from that standpoint Isabel?s doesn?t disappoint. Their salsa had a great roasted flavor with a good amount ofgarlic and oregano to kick up a notch - a good, mild salsa. For lunch, we had the Pozole and shared the Presidente which has anenchilada, a relleno and carne asada. The carne asada was tender with lots of flavor and I really enjoyed the relleno. Overall, worth a return trip to try some other areas of the menu. - recommended. Read more

I was beyond impressed! It's been such a long time living in Colorado Springs, struggling to find a decent Mexican restaurant.... The best chile relleno I've had in years! Even though the restaurant was busy with a handful of waiters, they gave us waterquickly, chips and salsa. They were very attentive. The red rice was so flavorful, as were the spicy beans. The salsa wasamazing. The portions are reasonable. My son got the 3 tacos (shrimp, carne asada, carnitas) he loved it. The waitress was superaccommodating and polite. The entire staff are very sweet. The atmosphere is welcoming. Definitely recommend ???? Read more

Isabel's Amor is a really wonderful mexican kitchen that has great seating, ambience, service, and food. I have never been... disappointed in coming to this nice sit down eatery. The staff is very attentive, efficient and pleasant. The food issurprisingly fresh and innovative without being stupidly odd (no french truffle bagets filled with oyster glaze and picante overcarne asada with rare mini corn waffers). Just good , stylish mexican food entrées that are fresh, and taste great. I havetried their amazing tacos, their excellent carne asada, chimichangas, and loved their amazing protein bowls (really excellent). The food never disappoints, and the stagf seems to be helpful everytime I visit. The area, seating and facility is really nice. It's a genuine date destination, lunch meeting spot or family gathering spot. The prices are a bit higher than chain mexicanfood sit-down restaurants, so you will want to consider that if you are on a tight budget. The only negative I have encounteredat this restaurant is that the last few visits I have seen the occasional fly buzzing around the inside seating tables. This isan important thing for them to fix. That said, and assuming they take care of that one issue, I will definitely be back. Read more
