Fast, inexpensive. My chicken burrito was mostly beans, with skimpy chicken and a little cheese, though the tortilla was... delicious. The chicken quesadilla was full of chicken and cheese, and tasted great. The guacamole seems like it?s from a can,not fresh. I really want to like this place, but the plate of food that I ordered was so remarkably bad that I feel compelled to leave a... review. What they are calling green chili is an over salted, flavorless green gravy that does not resemble anything that you'dget in New Mexico. It wasn't just the green chili that was bad, even the beans sucked. The beans had that signature deep brown(from a can) look...terrible. New Mexican Grill is my ?Go To? Mexican food restaurant. The dishes are authentic and vibrant with flavor and the portions are... phenomenal. Every entree that I?ve tried has been added to my favorites list! Each dish excites my palate and satisfies myhunger. I continue to try something new but so love my regular dishes that sometimes I order a dish to dine-in and take a secondone ?To Go.? Always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation, the entire team is more like family than restaurant staff.It?s a must try location for everyone. If you are local to the area, it is sure to be added to your regular diningrotation. Over the years, I have brought over a dozen family and friends to the New Mexican Grill and rave about it in anyconversation about dining, especially Mexican food. Out-of-town friends mention it as one of their favorite restaurants whilevisiting Arizona. During the height of COVID, they followed protocols to ensure patron and employee safety. My family and Ifrequented New Mexican Grill nearly every week during this time. This was for several reasons: I needed the comfort that theentrees and seeing the staff brought me, and I wanted to do my part to ensure this local establishment stayed open. So here's another spot my Wife's cousin referred to try. It says it's New Mexican food, but unfortunately there was nothing New... Mexican about it. I guess Silver City is far from the heart of NM which is Albuquerque. The green Chile pork had a weird tasteto it my wife got the fry bread and the ground beef had a Taco Bell taste to it. We asked for sopapillas and we had to ask forthem plain smh. I guess they come with powder sugar smh that's not the traditional way. My daughters quesadilla was dry and notstringy. So glad we found this New Mexican style restaurant here in the East Valley. Shared a Mini Large Appetizer platter and 5 rolled... tacos with guacamole. It was a ton of food. Can get packed inside but there's additional seating outdoors. Read more
