My husband & I ate lunch here & it was a Great experience! We'll be back for sure! It was pretty empty so that's a plus! The... lady at the front was very welcoming. Gave an Auntie kinda vibe ?? From the music videos to the food, very soulful ???????? Ihad the rib & sausage plate with greens, Mac & cheese, cornbread & a Big cup of Kool aid! I enjoyed every bite/sip! My husbandhad the catfish plate with broccoli & cheese, loaded mashed potatoes, cornbread & Kool aid! I have tried this place a few times ONLY because I want to support black owned business, but I will NOT be supporting this place... anymore. The first time I went there, I ordered a large amount of food including a large pint of broccoli rice and cheese and itwas spoiled! It had a nasty sour taste. Went back a second time and ordered the chop beef potato and it was more fat than actualbeef! Tried the bbq potato today (3rd and FINAL time) and it was more fat meat than beef AGAIN!! Literally EVERY BITE had fatmeat and ALOT! This place is not cheap so for them to serve all this fat in their potatoes is really just unacceptable! I justthrew the potato away. A complete waste of money and I won?t be back! But their strawberry lemonade is delicious! So I gave themtwo stars for that. Read more
Food was great, but they were out of baked potatoes( what I really wanted), horrible customer service skills and the lady making... the food come from the back and started talking to me. No hands were washed or anything. Then the lady in the front forgot mydaughters food so she didn?t even eat due to the line being too long to reorder and wait another 10-15mins. I propose that Google provide negative ratings. If that were available for this review I would rate this experience -3 at... minimum. My husband and I appreciate the owner Keisha (unsure of spelling) for taking the time to speak with us about our let'sjust say, less than stellar experience. Customer service/customer relations was clearly absent. My husband requested more ice inhis tea, as there was not a balance of ice vs. tea. The person behind the counter attempted to charge us a $1 for more ice.Really?? We paid for our meal up front so clearly I couldn't get the $5 tip back that my husband left. To whomever is readingthis, my apologies for not taking a pic of all the trash that littered the ground out front. So, why did we patronize thisestablishment to begin with? 1) the overall review score wasn't bad. 2) sometimes hole in the walls have really good food. 3)inspite of all the baggage, I love my ppl and always try to support them but we as a ppl MUST do better. In spite of the ownersattempts to rectify the situation (which we appreciate) Here's my honest review: The food was descent. Prices reasonable. Theservice was terrible to the point of becoming rude, irate and confrontational. Inside & outside the establishment wasexceptionally unclean to include the bathroom. The seating area is small and uninviting. The appearance of the individual whotook our order was absolutely inappropriate for the workplace (hair bonnet).
