This is the third time going to the Radici. Had a most delightful meal. Absolutely excellent cocktail's. The scallops were spot... on. The oysters with caviar were just amazing. The tempura squash blossoms with cheese a taste treat. We opted for an appetizerfor dessert which consisted of prosciutto, arugula and figs stuffed with cheese. Read more
The only amazing food I've found in Glen falls! Wow! As a chef and someone who has personal ran a from scratch Italian kitchen I... know Italian food ( not only that I am Italian!) This was the best meal and drink I had. I ordered two small plates. I was goingto have the chicken liver mousse but unfortunately they were out. Hopefully when and if I visit again for work I will be able totry it. However I was able to enjoy the 4 cheese eggplant with homemade hand crushed pomodoro sauce, the eggplant was seasonedand fried perfectly. Then instead of the pate I ordered the beets. Wow! So many flavors and textures I really love it.Everything complemented eachother well. I can't wait to go back. Hopefully Brian remains the kitchen executive chef. Read more
I had dinner at Radici for the first time last night. I sat at the bar, which is always my preferred location and they have a... WONDERFUL bar. The place isn't large (which is perfect, IMO). Lovely, intimate setting, big, roomy, comfortable bar seatingsexposed brick walls, high ceilings and open kitchen concept. So from the bar you can watch everything that is happening in thekitchen. Radici is owned by a husband and wife chef team and they were in the kitchen cooking last night. I try to only supportindependently owned/operated restaurants and especially chef-owned. THAT is the business model we NEED in the restaurantindustry. The staff at Radici was pretty fantastic. Friendly, attentive, WONDERFULLY upbeat. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5because it was a bit challenging to order off the menu as someone who doesn't eat beef, pork or poultry. Not everything I atewas a 5. Also? The vibe coming from the kitchen wasn't good. No one looked like they were having fun. Which is rough. And, I ownmy own restaurant and I am the cook. So I'm not just talking. The vibe in my kitchen is ALWAYS fun and entirely controlled byME. Some people might not notice. Since I do this myself I was perhaps a bit over sensitive to it. But yikes... The menu isn'thuge and it was a bit limited if you don't eat meat (I don't eat beef, pork or poultry). I don't think there were any veganoptions (maybe a salad??) and not sure there were even vegetarian options. But! There is a possibility to ask for a vegetarianoption on pastas at least. I eat seafood and there were plenty of seafood options. But most also contained pork or somethingelse that is "off my list." I do think it is a bit "short sighted" these days to not have at least a couple legit vegetarianoptions on your menu... They make their own pasta in house. And it is GOOD. Where do we even begin to thank Radici!!! They catered our intimate wedding and we could not have asked for a better staff to... make it happen. The food was absolutely phenomenal and everyone kept commenting how it was one of the best meals they ever had.They went above and beyond to give us the most special, personalized meal!! If we could give them 10 stars we would! We wouldhighly recommend them to anyone looking for an intimate dinner party for a special occasion! We were so impressed with theirprofessionalism and at the end of the night it was like they were never even there. Leftovers in the fridge, dishes put away,and the floors were mopped.
