If not for the nice space/venue, I would give them a ZERO. We did a private event for 61 adults and 14 children. Our poor... experience began when we arrived to decorate and the room was not set up correctly with insufficient number of tables andchairs. The floors were dirty/unswept/sticky. The food was scheduled to be served at 11:30 but was late. The quality was poor.The waffles looked like undercooked frozen waffles. (see photo) They did not bring out Belgian style waffles until wecomplained. We were told repeatedly that the buffet would be refilled, but our guests had to wait for food to come out. Theworst part of our experience came when we got our bill. During the booking process, we were told by Caryn, on more than oneoccasion, that due to the ages of the children, she would only charge us for the adults. That was not the case. When we disputedthis with the general manager, he refused to honor her verbal commitment to us. While we have enjoyed dining at the restaurantpreviously, do not expect the same quality of food for your event. We would not recommend this place for a private event. Visited Tangle Roots Brewing Company (Ottawa, IL) back in August 2019, and so it was nice to see this location be an offspring!... Nice indoor patio/greenhouse area and nicely themed furnishings. Their brews are definitely a strong highlight and food too isalso a hit. Staff is very knowledgeable and had their recommendations. Pictured here are their Bacon + Bleu Sliders (orderedduring Happy Hour) as well as a cup of Bison Chili (has nice heat!) - unique and different from the rest! We also ordered acouple of beers during and after Happy Hour: Devil's Paint Box, Vermilion River Weiss, and others I unfortunately cannot recallbut were very tasty. Ordered Medallion Trio to-go and the beef was high quality. Not a huge fan, but would love to come back totry their Detroit Style Pizza. Read more

A great restaurant. Great location and friendly staff. Welcomed by our manger. We were out running errands and wanted to sit out... and have a quick bite before heading home . It was a beautiful day. We ordered the burger. My husband and I shared it . The beerwas great. But unfortunately the burger was cold and the fries were cold . We like our food temperature hot . Especially whenyou ask how u would like your burger done you expect it to come hot since it?s coming from the grill Sorry to say the burger andfries were cold. Not sure if it is staff issues ! Theses are tough times in the restaurant industry. But if I go out I want myfood fresh and hot ! Again the server the manager and the place was awesome! Read more

Food and environment were nice. We ended up there for a very early dinner around 5pm and it was pretty empty.
