Glenwood Springs is one of our favorite cities in the country. But we?ve been of the opinion that it was not a destination for... good food - having been to multiple restaurants and leaving dissatisfied. Then we had lunch and dinner at Co. Ranch House. Thisis the best food in town and honestly it?s not really close. The atmosphere is laid back, yet welcoming, each member of thestaff is nice and charming, best of all the food is delicious. The atmosphere on the outdoor patio is so nice - great music (lots of Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Old Crow Medicine Show), and... rustic Western-chic decor! They even had seating around a small fire pit that I assume is probably only available at night asseating was full but they kept it empty. It's in a great location right next to everything - Hotel Denver, the Amtrak, anddowntown. I got the House Smoked Trout, Angie's Summer Salad, and a Blackberry Whiskey Smash. Everything was delicious and bothwere large portions - definitely enough to split! The menu had a lot of healthy food options. I went around Noon, seating waslimited but as a party of 1 I got seated pretty quickly, so plan ahead if you're a group of 3+. The waitresses were so friendlyand attentive! Great place for dinner! They offer a unique home style food selection. From local trout, to steaks, and homegrown vegetables. I... had the trout myself and it was delicious! My fiancee had the lobster ravioli and she loved it! Everyone here was exceptionallyfriendly, talkative, and a delight to speak with. Be sure to check this place out if you are in the Glenwood area.
