Noel the bartender is THE BEST EVER!!!! Funny, attentive, and on point!!! Always come back !! We think she is GREAT!!!
What an oasis in a sea of blah, so-so restaurants today?.the owners were hands on, super friendly and so hospitable. We felt at... home the minute we arrived - Jack, one of the owners, was bartending and was quite entertaining on his own - think Sam atCheers, but funnier. And the chef/owner Pat came out and we were able to visit < he recommended the blackened haddock tacoswith chipotle aioli and pickled red onions - I?m so glad I listened to him! (Always listen to the chef recommendations!). Westarted with the firecracker shrimp - excellent. We had to sample the fish chowder of course - when in Gloucester?.so I had thetacos amd my partner had the Clam Roll with fries, coleslaw and a pickle - all Was exactly the way you hope it will be everytime. Talking to the regulars it sounds like things are consistently wonderful - I only wish we.lived closer (we?re in Vt) butwe will Definitely be back - it?s worth the trip! BTW go Giants! ???? Read more
Best surprise of our time in Gloucester. We happened to see the place when looking for a place to eat. I had read reviews on it,... so we decided to give it a try. We were seated right away. Our server, Cat, was over in a few moments and was very bubbly,informative and fun. She recommended drinks and answered questions with knowledge. She even changed our minds on the dessert we were going to with. She said both of the choices were very good but she liked the pistachio cake, so we tried something new.It was just perfect. Great meal!! We saw the firecracker shrimp appetizer come out and it looked so delicious we had to try it...we were not... disappointed! Lots of fried food, BUT it was all light and delicious!! The fried clams were a little slimier than my sonpreferred but his shrimp,, scallops and my husband's fish and chips were so perfectly fried we loved it all!! The chowder was agreat representation for New England and my daughter had a 'side' salad that will likely be two more meals for me. Can't sayenough a out how good this was! Read more
