Food was so good! A nice selection of Louisiana sea food! The servers were so nice and took care of us, even when I knocked over... my drink. ???? Read more

Delightful place to stop when traveling. Right off the highway. Great service. Cool lodge-like setting. The food was fresh and... tasty. The stuffed cat fish HIT THE SPOT. The crawfish bisque was flavorless but salty. Maybe skip that. Read more

This is my second time within a few weeks of each other. I wasn't impressed the first time, however the Jacked Up Oysters were... delicious and I got the seafood plate that consists of fried fish, shrimp, and oysters. I did not enjoy my food. The second timewas for a little gathering with family. From start to finish it was not pleasant. We arrived at 6:15pm and were not seated until7:35pm, which was not the problem. Our waiter was very sweet and understanding. The food was a disaster for all of us. Severalof us had to change our drinks twice. The sprite was flat and tasted funny. The lemonade tasted like just plain lemon andunclean water, even the waiter tried it and said something was off. I just settled for a Coke. I had the Jacked Up Oysters andthey were really good. I also had the small Catfish with a Side of Stuffed Potato and Mac and Cheese. It was horrible the fishwas very greasy and looked like we were served scraps of the fins. The waiter put our orders in and double checked before heleft the table and somehow, they still managed to mess up the entire order. I'm just going to say they can't handle large crowdstoo well, because the place was packed. While I would love to return, I just don't think it was worth the price nor was the foodto my liking. We stopped in for dinner at Don's Seafood for dinner while staying close by in Gonzales. There was an awesome live band playing... and we asked our waiter Dillon if they always had live music. He said they always do on Monday nights. Our food was delicious. We had the boudin balls - they came to the table fresh n hot. Very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious! Iasked Dillon if he recommended the Toasted Cheese Raviolli with crawfish cream sauce. He said it was his favorite dish on theirmenu. I ordered that dish and it did not dissapoint! I highly recommend trying it. My husband ordered a ribeye steak cookedmedium rare with corn on the cob and twice baked potato. He said the steak was excellent and the knife cut through it likebutter. We ordered two cherry cobblers to go and they were very good as well. Stop in and have a bite to eat. I think you'llreally enjoy it. Read more

In town on a business trip and decided to check out a local joint. Initially they said the wait time was 1.5 hours but ended up... to be around 25 minutes. This place has the largest oysters I've ever had. The charbroiled oysters were very good. Tries bothkinds they offered and I would definitelybtry them again. I enjoyed the etouffee over the gumbo but I enjoyed them both. Mostof the food here is fried. Go figure. If you enjoy fry food and are in town I would come and check this place out. Read more
