I, like you, was looking for a local place to eat. Drove by Johnny's Cajun Cafe and was curious. Looked it up online and read... the reviews. Decided to give it a try. I was blown away. The food was excellent and our waitress was absolutely one of thenicest and most attentive I have ever had. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Read more
On a road trip craving fried chicken. Say their big sign out front advertising do I try fried chicken. I pulled over and lo and... behold. No fried chicken. I ordered at catfish fillet extra crispy, by itself. It was $7. Took 15 minutes to get my order,thought that was a little long to wait but at least they cooked it fresh. They order was huge! We have thought about stopping here for a while. We pass it on our way to visit friends in Cuero. We finally stopped today. NOT... disappointed. The buffet was wonderful. All cajun. What a hidden gem. Who would have thought to get such great food next to a fuel station? It's not what you would think at all. ... My father and I order off the menu, my mother got the buffet. We walked out all very happy. Our server was very attentive andwe got to meet the owners. I am pretty sure we could have talked to these nice people all night long sharing stories.
