First off, they have great, unique food options. We have been coming here for high quality food and ice cream for years.... However, there is an unfortunate trend in declining quality control especially if you order takeout. Today, half the foodcontainers were put in the bag sideways so there was leaking, and tacos lost filling. I also have a gluten allergy and despitemarking so on my order, they have continuously ignored the requests to remove or add items recently (leaving pita on, not takingoff dairy). Food allergies should be taken seriously!! We love the food but it's upsetting when the only thing we are beginningto rely on is lack of attention to quality. Read more

Really great ice cream! Definitely ranks up there with best in the state. Lots of unique flavors (so excited they had COFFEE... peanut butter cup!). Would have given five stars if the staff had been a little friendlier. In addition, the two people behindus in line were served before us. I?ve been to 20+ ice cream places in CT, and I would put Grassroots right near?if not at?the very top. Their unique flavors... never disappoint (I had Samoa and buttercream at my last visit) and the texture is outstanding. It?s about a half hour drive forus to get there, but we always walk away satisfied and glad we came. Read more
