Amazing food!!! Highly recommend the food with a fun atmosphere in the lodge. Every night all our families varied culinary... tastes were satisfied. Excellent customer service. Friendly helpful staff. There was always someone available at the lodge toanswer questions and provide suggestions. The cabin smelled clean and amazing when we arrived. The trails around the propertyare well marked and well traveled. Recommend going to the High Cliffs but it was not an easy path. Look out point also offerednice views but was more accessible for the less mobile family members. We had never driven a fishing boat before but the guidesgave clear instructions and we did just fine. Horses were well taken care of and well suited for their jobs. If they could makearrangements for Moose to show up on schedule that would be impressive! Read more

Our visit was a goodbye/farewell since due to age and health, we know we will not be able to return to the Gunflint Trail area.... The lodge was for years a fantasy to visit. We looked forward to this one last trip, staying at such a storied place. But itwasn?t. I assume part of the reason things were not in good condition was related to the pandemic. The logs that made up thesteps were in very poor condition making it difficult to navigate steps without fear of falling. The service in the dining roomwas far from what we expected, and knew it had been in the past, with long waits. And running out of a special very early inservice did not leave us with a good impression, even if the chef explained it was because he didn?t realize a box containingwhat was to be the special was empty. On a positive note, we loved Joey our fishing guide. He was wonderful with my husband whohas Alzheimer?s disease. Poor Joey didn?t even get a bite and my husband caught 3 fish! Since fishing was something my husbandwanted to do one last time, it couldn?t have been better. I realize the guide can?t make fish bit but maybe he had some magic! Read more

We eloped at Gunflint Lodge. This trip had the most phenomenal staff. Everyone we worked with and encountered was genuine,... kind, friendly, helpful and making sure we had the best experience possible. Carly performed the perfect, private ceremony inthe most beautiful location with unbelievable views. Special shout out to Tristan and Pierce for their patience and expertisewith the canopy zip line tour! The ladies running the horseback riding and wagon rides clearly love their job and care deeplyfor the horses. Food was delicious and staff did an amazing job during uncertain times with pandemic supply chain issues anddemanding guests. Read more

My partner and I decided to elope at Gunflint Lodge, and we couldn?t have been happier. Carly was great at helping us to plan... and coordinate everything, from all of the family reservations to dinner, photography, dinner, and more. The canopy tour was agreat bit of post wedding fun and excitement, thanks in large part to Tristan and Pierce. They were not only great instructorsand guides for the canopy tour, but entertainers and conversationalists as well. Rick, the executive chef, made a great dinnerand cake for the wedding and maintained an all around stellar and flawlessly executed menu throughout our stay. We stayed one ofthe romantic cabins, which was cozy, and included amenities such as gas fire places, in-room washer and drier, and a large hottop that you just melt into. The lodge and cabins are well maintained, yet rustic and charming. And of course, there?s so manyactivities to take advantage of. All in all it was a great stay, it made for great memories, and we?ll definitely be returningagain. Read more
