DISHONEST PRICING. Good food! However, everything actually costs 2-3 dollars more than what the menu says when your order.... Unpleasant surprise when our bill came and it was $15 more expensive that anticipated. Plus they charge a 3% fee for using acredit card, which they also don’t advertise so you don’t know until the bill comes. (I know it costs money for a businessto run credit cards, but what kind of establishment casually passes this cost on to the customer?) This is a highly popular place. However, despite it being crowded on a Saturday afternoon, we still had no trouble getting a... table immediately. Service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Shrimp Salad and the shrimp was a goodsize, flavorful, and juicy. My husband got the Carnitas and the meat was tender and flavorful. Our server was friendly andchecked back with us regularly. All in all we were very pleased. We will definitely be back next time we're in the Grand Rapidsarea. Read more
If you want to sit outside and enjoy a beverage on the blocked off Monroe Center St on a pleasant afternoon, Cinco de Mayo is... the place for you. If you want to eat good Mexican food, plenty of better options will be superior for you in Grand Rapids, manyof them less expensive. We were literally at the end of our 15 minute waiting time after being seated for someone on thewaitstaff to check in with us. I wish they had approached our table 45 seconds later. The service was fine and food deliveredpromptly. However, the chips were stale and flavorless, the fajitas particularly greasy, and my dining partner's food overallflavorless.
