This restaurant was great. Michelle, our server, was very engaging and informative about various menu items. I ordered chicken... fajitas for lunch and my boss ordered the pork panqueques. The food did not disappoint. Everything is fresh made, the patio isquiet even being next to a relatively busy street, the music was lively but not so loud I had to yell at my boss to talk to him.I will definitely be stopping here again. **MUST VISIT** Amazing little gem of the foothills, despite living here for 30 years this was my first visit to this local fave.... Been hearing wonderful things and finally made the trip in. Beautiful little location just outside of downtown Grass Valley(walking distance) sits this wonderful eclectic Latin inspired eatery with a nice little outdoor patio. Get there early if youwant a seat outside or make a reservation. (OK full disclosure June and I went to high school together and I think we even wentsnowboarding once, so take this review with a little 30 year ago bias). Hostess was super friendly and prompt and despite nothaving a reservation she gladly sat me outside. I ordered the sunrise lemonade which came in a quaint mason jar and wasexquisitely delicious, I highly recommend this. After perusing the vast menu of Latin inspired foods I settled on the PanquequeEspecial. A massive burrito sized crêpe smothered in cheese and guacamole, and inside an amazing blend of Chilean spices, rice, and house-made, ground chorizo pork with grilled pineapple. Served with a little side of sautéed vegetables there was more thanI could finish. I will definitely be back, and you will too. Read more

Omg this place is the best date night! The patio at night is so romantic and makes you feel like you?re on vacation. The bread... rolls, salsa and butter they bring is so fresh and delicious! The food does not disappoint! Everything is fresh and flavorful.Just top notch! Side note- you can buy the rolls and extra salsa to take home! Wish I could have brought the chef too! Sideside note- they sell beautiful flowers bouquets as well so if you?re on a date, maybe try to call ahead and have the flowers onthe table when you arrive. Bonus points!! Read more

I've eaten at Diego's three times now. Their food is fresh and I love the flavor combos. Just delicious! Their staff is... friendly and everything comes out hot (or perfectly chilled) and at the perfect time. Can't wait to go back. ???? Read more

I was visiting family in Nevada City and we were trying to figure what to have for dinner. I randomly found Diego?s using Google... Maps. Since nobody had eaten there before we checked out the menu and everyone agreed it sounded good. I had the shrimpenchiladas and I can honestly say that they were probably the best enchiladas that I have had in the past 10 years. The saucewas super tasty with a hint of spicy and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The rice and beans and grilled veggies were a perfectcombo. Everyone else got the tacos and the portobello plate. Suffice to say that everyone was quite satisfied with theirmeals. I?m from the Bay Area and we have some pretty amazing Mexican/Latin food, so I was not expecting to have such good foodin Grass Valley. I would definitely recommend Diego?s to anyone living in Grass Valley or passing through. They have outdoorseating and a cool funky vibe/decor. Next time I will have to try their desserts! Read more
