The employees were extremely passionate about their job. They treated all customers very kindly and put a smile on their faces.... Service was fast. The food had a lot of flavor at a great price. I have been to The East 4 times in the last year. Only one of which did I get good service. The only reason I am giving them 3... stars is because their food is very good and they have a large menu to choose from. The service, however, is the exact opposite.The three times we saw our waitor in the hour we were there seemed very rushed. He kinda tossed things at us like he was tryingto do it quickly so he could walk away. We asked for drink refills and after 15 minutes of waiting for them had to go up to thecounter and ask for them. There was another table that was a party of 2 (we being a party of 5 that was there 10 minutes prior)that got waited on immediately after us, and got their food and drinks faster than we did. They got their main dishes before wegot our appetizers. He was the only person waiting in the whole restaurant but there were only 3 tables to wait on. I donttypically like leaving bad reviews. Their food is very good. If you do go here I highly recommend their honey walnut shrimp,although I substitute their normal sauce for their general tso's sauce. The teriyaki beef is amazing. Would give 3.5. Nice large and comfortable restaurant. Attentive staff. Vegetable tempura had rather thick coating instead of... the usual light batter. And the dipping sauce wasn?t the typical flavor and could have used some shredded daikon to help cut theoilyness. Spicy maki rolls had a unusual amount of crunchiness, possibly due to a lot of sesame seeds or use of some friedtempura batter bits. Our first time to this restaurant last night with my family. We decided to give this place a try since our usual Asian... restaurant unfortunately was closed. East Asian Cuisine has lots of variety, which not a bad thing especially we have a largegroup with kids & adults. We?re foodies, growing up in the restaurant biz, we tend to be a bit critical. We were pleasantlysurprised this place food and services was very good! We ordered some of appetizers, soups, sushi rolls, many Chinese / Thaientrees & sake. The waiter that served us was very friendly and attentive, and the portions was good and quality of the disheswere very fresh and quite tasty. Not over priced at all, good value for what they served.
