We had a wonderful dinner at this unique French Restoraunt in mother Virginia, maybe 20min from DC. This place is very specially and everyone gets there for a reason and occasion. Service is very professional and your dining experience is exclusive. Good is served in 4 courses, env is season based on availability of local resources. It is rustic and antique interior which brings a country style atmosphere and great experience to all. I would highly recommend this place . It great experience even it is pricy but totally worth it.
One of the best meals that I've had in recent memory! The food is so so good and the service was top notch. The lobster in Sauternes sauce was the highlight of my night and frankly my entire work trip.
Visited the restaurant for a event and loved it! The ambiance was great, service amazing, and the food was phenomenal. Everything was delicious, my absolute favorites were: Appetizers- Beef Cheeks Entrees- Trout, and Beef Tenderloin Dessert - Cheesecake Will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!
L'Auberge was everything I expected and more. Service was absolutely impeccable. The various breads and farmers cheese (which tasted like cottage cheese with generous amounts of garlic and chives) were a fantastic start to the meal. I honestly started eating the cheese straight, it was so good. Across the meal, we dined on countless proteins - escargot, scallops, crab, lobster, veal, beef, lamb. Every single one was succulent and seasoned to ? percent perfection. Sauces on our plates had great mouthfeel and flavour. Vegetables were cooked straightforwardly, but that lack of complication is exactly what you need to balance out the richness of everything else. The salad and passion fruit sorbet were also perfect palate cleansers to rejuvenate our tongues halfway through. I think the only dish I had critique on was the creme brulee, only because there was way more sugar shell than needed. Did I still scrap up every last bit of that perfectly creamy custard? You bet. ?? Also, the scallop appetizer fn slapped. ? Do yourself a favor and order that. L'Auberge didn't challenge my palate, but instead leaned into things that I love and executed them with a skilled hand. ?? I highly recommend dining here to calibrate your palate on well-cooked, delicious food.
Family party for 14 people. Cozy and authentic french atmosphere. Exceptional service and superb quality in every single dish. The appetizers, main courses, and the desserts full of rich flavors. Great variety of drinks and good wine.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. It was a great dining experience. Staff, drinks, food and dessert were on point. Everything was absolutely delicious.
Very good authentic French cuisine, but very pricy. I get the vibe of the decor they were going for, but it?s very dated in my opinion. On the other hand, all the dishes we had were beautifully prepared. Overall, you won?t regret coming here for a wonderful meal, just be prepare to shell out $200+ per person. It?s definitely a special occasion type of restaurant.
We enjoyed a fabulous special luncheon with fresh greens and vegetables from the garden, wine with each course, and dessert. The service was outstanding! We were celebrating my birthday. I had placed a birthday card on the table and the waiter asked about it and then later brought out a special dessert with a candle on it! The atmosphere is awesome too, had a fire in the fireplace, very romantic.
