The food was burnt. Wouldn't recommend eating here, the cooks can't cook. How can you look at the food like that and decide its... acceptable to serve it at the restaurant? The appetizer was burnt even more than nachos, it looked and tasted likecharcoal. The problems with nachos were beyond the obvious fact that they were burnt to the crisp. They simply weren't good. There were barely any toppings on it. Not enough peppers, only some onion and that's it. No salsa or jalapeno even though bothwere stated in the menu. Sour cream as the dip. We had late lunch today at the Laughing Buddha and we had such a pleasant experience. The patio layout was pretty, conferring a... bright and inviting atmosphere punctuated by greenery. The staff was welcoming and the food didn?t disappoint. We got the Misoand the Buddha Bowls as main course: both colourful, vibrant, delicious and well presented. We had plenty of choice for proteinand opted for tempeh and chicken. My meat lover partner regretted not taking the tempeh too after tasting it. It was savoury andtender. Drinks were equally tasty and refreshing, the touch of jalapeño elevated the pink lemonade. The mint and limefaux-mojito was exquisite, enhanced with aromatic mint leaves. We ordered ?the cool beans? as appetizer and the carrot cake asdessert. The cake was moist with creamy frosting and the beans were perfectly crisp on the outside and tender bright green onthe inside. I?ve calmed down from my initial desire to give this place a one star. We went the other night, was given a front patio table... quickly and the proceeded to wait for 20 minutes. We finally gave up waiting and my other half went up and asked where ourserver was. They said that they forgot to assign a waitress to the front patio. Let that sink in. They forgot to assign awaitress to the front patio. The one you walk through when you are coming into the restaurant, the one that every waitresswalked through to get to their side patio and is clearly visible from the hostess desk. Once we had a waitress they clearlyfelt bad because we had every person on staff asking every 5 minutes if we needed anything. That?s the only reason I brought itup from one star. Ok now that my rant is over, the nachos were ok, but they literally only have sour cream on the menu for themand not salsa. Kinda backwards in my mind when it comes to what is shelf stable for longer but what do I know. So the nachos arekinda boring. Beer is good and they have a solid selection on tap and in bottle. Place is kinda pricy given the fare and thisis coming from someone used to Toronto prices. If you?re looking to have a drink of something different it?s probably worth itbut I wouldn?t go for the food. Read more

Love having some ?healthier? options for take out. Good flavour in the miso bowl and enjoyed all the veggies/toppings. The spicy... beans were so good! Wish the portion was larger, I could?ve eaten these all day! Read more

I went here for lunch which was alright. I?m sure I?d give it a higher rating if I came here for drinks. Got their Chicken Nova... sandwich & Miso bowl and they were decent. Overall the place is pretty mid (bonus points for a neat patio set up) Read more
