Great place to stay. Rooms feel a bit vintage and clean. Lobby looks nice and is a good place to relax for a few. Location is... downtown Greenville so if that's where you want to be, it's good. Read more

As I searched for a nice hotel, the web site shows certain amenities that I was looking forward to. However much to my... disappointment., the beautiful looking cocktail lounge closed at 9: PM , so a nightcap was out of the question. The followingevening ( Friday) we returned from our day?s activities at 8:00 PM and was looking forward to ending my evening at the cocktaillounge. Again, we were surprised to see the lounge had already been closed. The front desk informed us that due to a privateparty upstairs, the lounge is closed. I feel that the paying guests should be able to enjoy certain amenities. But the hotelfell short of this. I mean really, how much would it cost to hire a bar tender. and I won?t start on our room, which is thehandicap accessible with a full size bed shoved into an over sized closet. Read more

I was in the Morgan Suite the weekend of my wedding. When my husband and I checked out the day after our wedding, we... accidentally left a bag in the room. A few hours later we realized it was missing so we called the hotel and were relieved whenthey said they had it for us at the front desk. That relief faded once we got the bag back and looked in it. My bridal necklace,my late grandmother?s bracelet, three bridesmaids gifts, and a nice phone charger were all missing. At least the thief was niceenough to unplug all the cords from the charger so it would be immediately obvious that the charger was missing and not justmisplaced. I?m sorry but there is no excuse for this kind of thing. When you?re paying $400/night for a room, you shouldn?t haveto worry about your priceless, irreplaceable items being stolen. These thieves had to go through my entire bag to find thejewelry because it was hidden in a shoe at the bottom of the bag. I?ve always loved this hotel and it IS a nice hotel but thisreally turned me off of the GMI. Can?t recommend them to anyone. Read more
