I wish I could give 10/5 stars! Everyone knows that the food is fresh and authentic but, have you met the staff? I came in... for some fresh veal cutlets, homemade pasta, and mozzarella so fresh it'll bring tears to your eyes yet I left with all thatPLUS three new friends! Great Italian market and sandwich shoppe. Locally made sausages and other meats, be prepared to wait for any of the aged meats,... as excellence has to be given time - BUT, well worth the wait time for a hand-made, shop-cured salami, look at the rafters whenyou walk in if you need a visual on what I mean! The mild, hot and sweet sausages go quickly some days, so if you plan to getfresh made, show up earlier in the day, or you may not find any left. The Traditional Italian side dishes and sandwiches aregreat, and did not skimp on the good stuff. Make sure to say hello to Giacomo if he is behind the counter. There is also anassortment of imported European kitchen materials to help you add to the sausages you take home to cook up. Bonus, if you grillthe hot Italian sausages, and slice them thin, they make a great addition to a spaghetti sauce (the makings of which can usuallybe found on the shelves at Giacomos). There are a TON of resturants on this road in Greensboro, so you need to do something special to be great. Staff are very... friendly and polite, unexpected for an italian market, sandwiches are loaded with meat and cheeses and wrapped with a bread withsome crunch. Personally I like my sandwiches with softer bread. We also got the stuffed zucchini blossoms, and they weredelicious! They were just served at room temp after sitting on the counter, so that was a bit questionable. Overall, notperfect, but very unique and worth a try. Read more
