My food was really good. I had the shepherd's pie, which was proper with lamb and beef in the mince. The seasonings were spot on... and not over done. They finish with a layer of melted Gouda cheese on top. It was delicious. I also had a side of collards, which were very good. They have a very respectable selection of whiskey, with McKenna as their well bourbon. Bonus points forthat. They have my favorite beers from the UK on tap, like Guinness, Fuller's, and Smithwick's. The only thing that could havemade my visit 5 stars was if the service was a bit better. I'm not a local and I was dining alone at the bar and I was ignoredfor about 8 minutes (when I started timing) before anyone greeted me. A couple of servers looked straight at me and made nocontact, even though I had no drink or menu. Finally someone did come over, but it was not the best customer engagement I washoping for. It was just a bit cold. I would, however, return because the food was good and came quickly. Read more

What a gem! I went Downtown Greensboro for Scuppernong Books. I asked the cashier for restaurant suggestions within walking... distance and M'Coul's was her recommendation. They were fairly busy so I sat at the bar. I love the pub atmosphere inside.Booths encompassing the bar. They also have seating upstairs, on the balcony, and outdoor seating on the patio. The bartender,Taylor, was friendly and attentive. Fish and chips were on point. Finished with their bread pudding which was loaf-like slices.Enough to share with another person. Such a great experience. I'll def go again. Read more

The collards are probably the best in the city! They have the giant carrots and perfect flavor. The cabbage is mustard braised,... and their ranch is homemade. The atmosphere is cool, the patio is shaded and spacious, and the drinks are awesome. Read more

Super cool place. Off the beaten path. Staff especially Brenden was helpful and patient (I needed drink recommendation and he... was genuinely helpful) I had Sour Monkey which was refreshing. Eating in the garden was also very pleasant. As a single person... I was still treated as valued customer. As vegetarian I had only fries...which was a big plate and tasty. Other people'sfood looked delicious. Do go to M'Coul's in Greensboro. Enjoy. peace Read more

Great food. Best stew I've had in my life. The portions were a little less than I expected, but I was still mostly full at the... end of it. Aesthetic of the venue was also a bit underwhelming. Would go again. Read more
