People were friendly. We had a wait even though we got there about five. The reason for the score of four is that on Saturday... they have a buffet. The problem is there is only one line for the entire restaurant. Servers get what you want because of covid.That is fine but when I wanted more food the line was huge! Finally I asked our server to get me some second helpings. Hugelyinteresting place in the middle of nowhere. The chicken, fish, & shrimp were delish but the PIE! Oh my! So good & such a friendly, wonderful atmosphere.
Our FIRST visit. Excellent home style buffet in an original historic brick roadside style building. You won't be disappointed... and I can't wait to come back in two weeks. Amazing small town restaurant! Called a few hours before going to confirm a few items on the "online" menu were still available.... A gentleman that answered the phone was very pleasant and confirmed the menu item in question was available. Our first visitfound us a small town Millhousen walking into great reviews and high expectations. We was immediately seated just behind thehostess stand, I was unsure of the location until we had been there just 2 minutes. Our server, Angie was quick to take orders,kept our drinks full and answered all questions. Woman at the register checked on us a few times and allowed me to walk aroundand take photos before they got too busy. Reservations are recommended on weekend evenings but not required. Used to be a lot of places like this around, but many have closed or the food quality has gone down. Stone's is as good as all... the best I used to know. I was happily surprised. All on the buffet was great - off the menu is probably even better! Weekenddinner buffet was $15 but was worth every penny. Menu items were very reasonable.
