Walked in the door and was given the expectation that everything would be great from the man at the bar and he was right we had... the steak frites and the fried chicken and they were both delicious. I remember going here in 2017 when it just opened, the menu was tiny and boring and the atmosphere wasn?t exactly appealing.... Now, five years later I event here and the restaurant improved massively. The food was delicious and the atmosphere wasincredibly comfortable and welcoming. While the service wasn?t exactly the fastest in the world, the waitress was very friendlyand engaging and the whole restaurant smelled amazing. The udon noodles were incredible, with perfectly cooked duck andscrumptious noodles that made me just want to devour the entire bowl. You wouldn?t believe the amount of self control it took tostop myself from eating before I could get a picture of it. Excellent, friendly service. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had steamers for an appetizer, and lamb and sea bass for... our entrees. Neither of us could finish our food. We would return for sure. Strongly recommend. Read more
If you love food and GOOD food done right, go here. The type of place where you can tell they care about making sure everything... on the menu is well done. My family and I really enjoyed our dinner out at this wonderful restaurant in the heart of Greenville. Our table was reserved... on-time and was set perfectly. Often the little things are the difference between an average dining experience and a fantasticone. The Cook & Dagger is no exception to this rule. Everything including the table setting, attentive server and goumet cuisinewas above par. I had the swordfish, my wife had the salmon and my adult children had the fish tacos. This is a nice little restaurant , tucked away in the middle of smithfield . It?s located about 5 mins off the highway and... pretty much near the center of town. The location isn?t the greatest , as it sits near a heavy intersection , and traffictends to build , but has no effect on what they bring to the table , literally. The inside is very nice , and spacious . I lovethe detail they put into their craft , down to the paper table cloth with the stamp. They have what looks like 3 areas to therestaurant, but on the same level more or less . The staff were great , especially our server (Diana) , she was awesome. Notonly was she professional but she was also very personable. Felt like we were besties by the time we left . The food menu isn?tlarge by any means , but the menu does change frequently. But what is on the menu as their ? staple ? dishes , are deliciousoptions , and their seasonal specials , are equally as good , if not better. The wings I ordered , may have been the best I?vehad in a long time. Entree?s came out fast , and were delicious in every bite.
