Chicken dumpling can be a whole lot better with more meat and vegetables. Salisbury steak can be a whole lot better. Salad bar... needs to have meat varieties on the bar but nice. The crab meat salad was so sweet they don't need sugar. Read more
I hope they can make a comeback soon. You should expect to pay 16.00-23.00 per person. They have not updated their prices on the... website. I know times are tough for restaurant owners but I feel the increase in price is too great. The service was excellentat the table. At the register we were not informed of the Senior discount available. The server told us after we had paid. Ifeel that the quality of food has gone down. I hate that I need to make this review with negative comments because this used tobe a good place for a great meal at a reasonable price. I can?t imagine how a family could come here any more. Also they havelimited the desert options. We were told that the ice cream machine was broken. I was saddened by that because I loved to havethe ice cream on their delicious pies and Strawberry Shortcake. ***The Salad bar is excellent. I ate there about for years ago and it was great. I think it may be under new management. First I understand the need for gloves... while at the bar because of health concerns. I was charged for two buffets and a drink and water. I didn't realize until I leftthat these items weren't broken down. I like to know what I am paying for. Lunch was just getting under way so it wasn't thatcrowded. Food was decent and it seemed as though some was from the day before. This is quality control gone bad. Fresh food isnecessary when running a buffet. 20 years experience I might add. I probably won't be going back because of the experience. Good quality for a buffet. I've been here 3 times now and it is very consistent. The fried chicken is especially good when a... fresh batch comes out. The salad bar is kept fresh, the whole place is very clean, and they give everyone a glove to use whenserving themselves from the buffet. There is a big variety of deserts, and the overall menu rotates to help keep it interesting.The food is all Southern inspired, and thankfully is not severely over-salted. It all seems like in house recipes, not reheatedfrozen food. If you are in a buffet mood and are tired of Chinese, this is a great option. Read more
