Seriously, if you're not experiencing Trappe Door while you're in Greenville, what are you doing? The atmosphere begs you to... stay. It was my first time in and my server was extremely knowledgeable on the entire menu and gave great recommendations. Iordered the duck dinner and it was incredible. I highly recommend this gem of a pub! Read more

Great atmosphere, very Belgian feel, underground wood and brick. The food was excellent, and the beer selection is massive. We... got a lot of things and rang up a pretty serious tab (can't believe how expensive eating out is these days). For appetizers: theBaked brie was incredible, the Beet salad was amazing (that pecan & bacon dusted goat cheese!), and the Flemish onion soup wasgood (but not my favorite, very different from French onion soup). For entrees: the Mariniere mussels were delicious (whitewine, garlic, and shallots sauce) and for 1.5 lbs it was pretty reasonable, and the Chicken Schnitzel was some of the best I'veever had (with a great sauce and sides included). We will be going back for sure! Read more

I really like the Trappe Door. I've been coming here for quite a few years and have yet to be disappointed. The food is really... good, and thematic with the style of the restaurant. The mussels are great, and all the different flavored aiolis are such afun addition! Beer selection is vast and very well curated, and I enjoyed a nice glass of wine with my meal. Our server wasknowledgeable about both beers and wines, and was attentive to our needs. My only wish was that there was a little morecreativity in the side dishes and plating of the food. The prices are such that I expect a lot, and as you can tell from thepictures below, it's hard to tell the pork dish from the duck because they were served with the same sides. My potatoes withthe beef short ribs were delicious, but I wished they hadn't been in the shape of a cookie scoop. But other than that, it was agreat meal and I'll be back again! (Oh, and the desserts were wonderful, and plated beautifully) Read more

Take a flight of steps down to this great spot for Belgian beers. Only stayed for a drink but the food looked great as well. The... bar was a great atmosphere to sit in. Bartenders were really nice and ready to give a recommendation if you needed one. Update:went back for dinner and it was great! All the food options looked good and I went with the seafood waterzooi. Delicious! Read more

I thought it was very good. I would definitely go back again and try the short ribs I had the duck which was fairly good and... the onion soup is completely different but excellent. The waitresses were extremely nice and the service was good. I was alsohappy to see they had some sour beers to try in this style of restaurant, as this was sounding good on a warm summer evening.
