I?ve passed this restaurant so many times and finally had the opportunity to try it. We had a reservation, but our table wasn?t... ready, so we decided to wait at the bar?The restaurant is very small and tight, and we realized there is no bartender. Theserver makes the drinks so we awkwardly stood around trying not to disturb people eating right next to us. Once we got seated,the server was abrupt and brash. We tried to order an appetizer, but got shot down. We were told there is only one chef workingin the kitchen, and he likes the entire order to be placed at one time. Up until this point, I was flabbergasted at the serviceor the lack thereof. But oh my god once the food came out, it was party in my mouth. ????????????????Everything tasted sogood?hands down best Italian I?ve had in a while. And once I had a few drinks, even our server seemed friendly. Hey, if beingbrash and ?Italian? means good food, then I?ll take it. Our server was totally inattentive. We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:15. She was more interested in the young men... in baseball caps than us. Placed our order at 7:35ish - she never came back to offer us more wine - etc. after getting upand asking other servers we finally got our food at 8:45 which was mediocre at best! So disappointed as we?ve loved thisrestaurant for many years! Benissimo! Grazie Giorgio! Last night we dined at Trattoria Giorgio and our table got savory cured meats, caprese with house... made mozzarella, pasta pomodoro, creamy delicious spinach and walnut ravioli, veal, lamb chops, and the cannolis and pancettafor dessert were to die for. Everything was fabulous and cooked to perfection- compliments to the chef! Isa had recommendationsthat were magnifica and paired our meals with beer, wine and espresso martinis. This restaurant is located in my favorite partof town, easily walking distance to a beautiful waterfall park, unique stores lined with products from local artists, surroundedby amazing historical architecture.
