They were a little understaffed, but made up for it with their hospitality. Good service and we appreciated the friendly... atmosphere along with the great food. This was our first visit here. There was little about the experience that made me think it would be worth making the drive to... eat here again. The hostess couldn't find our reservation that we made the previous day so, we had to wait about 30 minutes forour table. She seemed like she might be having a bad day and even acted like she thought we were lying about having areservation. Servers were friendly and provided great service. Food and drinks weren't bad; weren't great either. I did likethe loaded chili and the tortillas that came with it were a nice touch. I just wish there was more of it. Their idea of a "bowl"is what most places server as a cup. In fact, portion sizes for all dishes were kind of small for the prices charged. Not thatprices were that high considering Biden-flation that's hitting all businesses. I don't know if the bartender was just having abad day too but, that's no excuse for her behavior. When I asked if they could make a particular drink (it wasn't anythingspecial), she just looked at me and handed me a menu without a word. When I chose a couple of drinks from their menu, she had tolook at the recipe to make one of them. A couple sitting at the bar said they didn't find the bartender particularly friendly.Personally, I thought she seemed almost surly. They have outdoor seating but, it's not covered and it was raining so, we didn'tget to take advantage of that. That was too bad since there's a nice view across the street. The next time I eat in Greer I'lleither go back to the Rendezvous Diner or try out Edelweiss Resort and Restaurant, which, I've heard good things about. Read more
We were invited to join family to meet up in Greer and have lunch. We walked into a rustic and cozy place and felt right at... home. With spectacular view, the servers were welcoming and prompt, the atmosphere was calm and had plenty of room. I orderedthe Angus burger and onion rings. My wife ordered their ham and cheese. We also had chicken wings. I could have eaten thereall day. Everything we ate was marvelous and delicious. Amazing experience! Our family can't remember the last time we ate such good food at a restaurant. We are still talking about... how good it was days later. My son had the chicken strips, which are not ordinary at all. I had the chili and it is to diefor...spicy and lots of beef. The beer on tap was great and the cocktails are top notch. In the very small town of Greer, AZ there are few option for dining out and The Molly Butler Restaurant is the best of them -... and busiest. Centered on the main street through town the historical lodge and restaurant is very charming and any seat in theplace has a nice view. Great rustic atmosphere and well chosen decor perfectly matches the spirit and charm that is Greer. Themenu is much like that of a typical steak house. We ordered two of their ribeye dishes. The quality of the cuts of meat we hadwere not up to par with many of the steak places we've been to in the same price range. On our visit we found the meals to bejust okay and didn't live up to the delightful upscale look and feel they have created. That said, if you're in Greer, it's a"must visit". The staff was wonderful and the views make for a great backdrop for a nice dinning experience.
