Lucky Buck is a great place to stop to load up on a great meal before heading into Yosemite. Great menu and food the restaurant... was clean and provided great service. I had the Spicy California Omelette. Read more
This is a very nice restaurant in Groveland. Interestingly they have a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu. They have a great... ambience of a small town with a good country vibe. I particularly loved their sign ? No WiFi, Just talk to each other? ????. Weordered an avocado toast, vegan Rueben sandwich, tomato soup and sweet potato waffle fries. The food was really good. I thoughtthe Rueben could have been better. The thousand island sauce was not coming through and it would have been better if red cabbagewas used instead. Tue avocado toast, fries and the tomato soup were really good and tasty and seasoned really well. We also hada couple of Moscow mules for drinks which was slightly thin on alcohol and had a dominant but pleasant taste of the ginger beer.The staff were really kind and professional. After hiking in Yosemite we were starving. I didn't expect much, only nice burger with fries...and they had vegetarien/vegan... options ! Under new ownership within the last couple of years this is a great roadside diner. Whether you?re on your way to or from... Yosemite national Park. The business has changed hands within the last few years and the new owners have made marked improvement. It takes on the influence of a 50s diner with a comfortable atmosphere. I remember back in the day when this was probably oneof the busiest businesses on the mountain. The Rim fire has had a devastating effect on businesses throughout the region andLucky Buck café is clawing their way back to the top. The wait staff is very courteous and appreciate of of your business.There is a pretty significant selection of meals to choose from. And you will not be disappointed with the portions. They alsooffer an assortment of knickknacks, hats and T-shirts for sale. The restaurant is a little ways off the roadway so it?s kind ofeasy to drive on by. Thank you for letting us order from your breakfast menu even though it was lunch time already. We had pancakes which was huge... but nothing special to it, good enough to fill a hungry belly. My toasted avocado ???? was forgotten to serve while it?s stillwarm because it was busy and there was only 2 servers at that time, which he taken out of my bill, thank you.
