I stopped in to Hazel's when I was in Gulf Shores promoting my rental business. I had passed a hardware store on the east side... of 59 and was going to turn around and go talk to them when I saw Hazel's and realized I hadn't eaten anything all day. I'malways quick to ask for help so I asked if I needed to seat myself and if I needed to pay before getting the buffet. Just so youknow you can sit wherever you would like and you eat before you pay. They have breakfast and lunch options on the buffet. I lovehow quaint this place is it's pretty small but not overcrowded. It's been around for many many years and they have definitelykept it simple. No sense in changing this place if it ain't broke don't fix it. The food was great. I had their baked chicken,it was either baked or roasted? I also had rice and gravy, corn, and peach cobbler. Only thing I would change about myexperience would be if they had some good yeast rolls. I love bread! Read more

A quick easy no fuss small town style buffet. You go in, they point to an open seat for you, and you grab a plate at the food... trays. It's a smaller building so seats for large parties could be limited on busy hours but its perfect if you're traveling byyourself or party of teo and want a quick warm bite that's very affordable. Feels like what youd expect from a small familystyle restaurant that's been catering to soldiers since the 50s if I'm reading the black and white wall photograph right. Foodoptions are simple staples: eggs, pancakes, bacon, baked applies, warm biscuits, etc. But the quality was delicious. Food waswarm and with that home cooked taste. I'd rather have a small buffet menu where everything tastes good than a giant menu whereit's kinda bland like some larger chain buffets. This is where I intend to eat breakfast if ever I travel this town again. Read more

On the website on the menu they mention they have a fruit station. Their fruit station consist of 3 canned fruits that are more... syrup then fruit. Don’t advertise something that you really don’t have. This is pretty disgusting. I get that most peopledon’t come here for fruit, but some people have medical restrictions and need to eat a bit healthier, but still want to eatwith their families. Please change your advertisement, it’s not truthful. If you want or need any healthy choices, pleasechoose somewhere else. Read more
