DOES NOT TAKE AMEX, NOT ADVERTISED. It's really unfortunate, seeing we had already been served our ice cream prior to being... told that Amex was not accepted. There was no signage anywhere in the store with accepted payment methods. In a beach town,where it's common for customers to only carry a single credit card, this seems pretty absurd. We offered Apple Pay, Google Pay,Venmo, or manually typing in a credit card number but were told none of those would work either. So we left our ice creamsitting on the counter and left. This would all be understandable if they truly couldn't process our payment, but there is nosuch thing as a credit card reader that does not take AMEX. The owner just doesn't want to pay the extra 0.2%. Tried to go herea few months earlier and found them closed at 8PM on a Saturday night. I think we'll stop trying. Read more
