We loved this place when they were on the island. The new location is cool but the staffing issues persist. Very hit or miss.... Concept is awesome, execution needs attention. So much potential. A few complaints after repeatedly ?giving it another chance?: - butchered oysters? I know hand shucking is hard and time consuming, but the place has ?oyster? in the name and puts a lot offocus on oysters in the menu/specials. Acme, tin top, and most other oyster bars hand shuck for a reason. Shucking machinesmutilate the contents of the oyster. - hygiene/food preservation issues? cracker baskets left out to get stale in salt air andthen carelessly served with the butchered oysters, hot sauces and other condiments are also not tended to regularly or preservedin any way, drink garnishes are never fresh, silverware and other dish ware is left out and exposed to the air (keep in mindthis is a very open screened in porch type spot). - new untrained and clueless staff members almost monthly. - out of nearlyeverything, always. I?m talking 50+ listed beer options along the walls, but maybe 1 or 2 in stock. Very limited menu items asis, but count on them only having 3-4 things available at once. Oyster specials are $1 oysters during happy hour, but withstale crackers, crusty/spoiled condiments, and mangled oysters, it?s simply not worth the drive and disappointment. The placeis a mess and it?s unbelievable to me after frequenting their old location. Read more

Absolutely awful experience, we went here 3 years ago back at their old location and had an amazing time! Great atmosphere,... great food, great staff! Needless to say I was so excited to revisit it again. I was beyond disappointed. This was one of theworst dining experiences I have ever had. The place was dead and for good reason. There were only two staff member a cook and aserver. We didn?t get any refills on our waters. The food took forever to come and they had no silverware. And once the food didsome it was decent but not nearly as good as it was previously. The oysters were the only somewhat redeeming quality of theplace they were very good and cold. But if you?re looking for a fun time with great food DO NOT COME HERE!!! Read more

Warning! Oysters we were served were spoiled and we could smell them before they were placed in front us! We were told we could... get and other batch and we resoundingly said no way and left! There was one other group before us( no one else there) and theycancelled their order as they waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Any establishment that is willing to let spoiledfood out of their kitchen is out of their minds! Also they are rarely open,( we tried several times at various days and times),they occasionally have a happy hour but it?s random. Cocktail ice is served out of a cooler?the owner was rude and didn?t evensay hello when we did and gave us a very dirty disgruntled look?.(we later found out she was the owner ) parking is scattered ina rustic dirt lot which is fine but limited. Cooks and bartenders drink behind the bar and are drunk during their shift, (nowonder the food never arrives and is spoiled and the bartender (who was friendly)forgets to charge for stuff and can?t rememberhow to use the register) no fuel at the fuel dock and the ramp is usually chained off. The only thing good is the location. Justsad?go to gelato joes or anywhere but here. Read more

This lil hidden gem was just my sorta place. Cute and kinda shabby chic joint. Tina was our waitress. She was the only one... working the front. She was taking orders, making cocktails, even shuckin oysters and keeping us happy. We ordered from theregular and brunch menus. The flight of roasted oysters, the pork belly naan tacos for apps. The tacos were to die for, literally! We ordered the fried stuff, fish sandwich, the brunch burger and the brunch bowl. Everything was seasoned perfectlyno s&p needed. They forgot the egg on my bowl so she comped my bloody mary. Very thoughtful and nice. It was almost an hourdrive but totally worth it. There's inside and outside dining. We sat inside because it was cold out. Read more
