Left Bank Bistro was a complete surprise. I am classically trained and French cuisine is one of my favorite, most respected... cuisines. The quality, execution, and service are something I'd expect from cities like Chicago, New York, or LA. I did notexpect to be blown away by a restaurant in St. Pete, FL. The quality of ingredients were unmistakably top tier. Meaning, 1) youwill receive an excellent culinary experience, and 2) portions may be smaller than you are used to. To start, our group gotcocktails, foie gras, escargot, and chicken liver pate. I was in awe at the perfect seasoning, textures, and presentation of allof the food. The cook and execution on the foie gras was phenomenal. As our main course we all tasted each others' selectionsof Steak Frites, Duck Confit, Boulliabaise, and Carribbean Mahi (Chef Special). The level of balance that the kitchen staffimparts on their food is indicative of a highly skilled kitchen. This restaurant has the look and feel of a real French bistro. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Our group was so satisfied and happy at the end of ourmeal that we bought a round of beers for the kitchen staff. Note: French cuisine is extremely rich. There are lighter optionsbut the vast majority of the food is decadent. As well, it is generously seasoned and almost always finished with butter. Thisleads to some believing things are "too salty" or "strong" - I assure you, this is traditional and intentional. It's been fourdays and I'm still reminiscing of my meal here. I anticipate visiting every time I'm in St. Pete. To the Left Bank staff: youshould be extremely proud of the food you are serving. If Michelin includes St. Pete this year or next, I'd be very surprised ifyou weren't recognized on their guide. Read more

Running a 1923 Vacation Rental makes anything saluting the Rive Gauche Paris of 1920's of great interest. This is a wonderful... design with top notch French menu. Hannah, my server was attentive and engaging. I had just seen the new French film Eiffel, somy visit was perfect timing. Enjoyed their French Onion soup and Beef dip. I was seated across from a brilliant paintinghighlighting many of the Parisian artists of the 1920's. Almost a perfect score of being able to name. Sadly George Gershwin,Henri Matisse, Cole Porter were missing. Read more

Fancy place and the price isn't too bad. Coffee is small though and hope they offer larger size instead of getting two cups... ... Considered an upscale place to my standard, the place is cleaned, service is good and have live music when I was there. Food isgood with nice presentation. Even provide a bottle of hand sanitizer on the table. The next store gift shop is under the sameowner. Net place to visit after a meal. Update: 3/2022 Here for dinner, service is excellent, food is great. Read more
