We have been coming here for a very long time. Very nice people and excellent food. The restaurant is also extremely neat and... clean. Exactly the type of business that everyone should support! Read more

Not the same. I always ordered the General?s Chicken and it used to be so much meat and not a ton of breading. The last time I... was there (about 2 months ago) the General?s Chicken was over breaded and small. Some ?pieces? were just clumps of breading. There was hardly any broccoli, too. The rice wasn?t fresh and fluffy like it used to be and the egg roll was so greasy. Iunderstand that restaurants change over time, especially with new owners, but it?s a shame when the high quality that HKP wasknown for throughout our area was what took the hit?The inside remodel is cool and modern, but I miss the cozy atmosphere of theold HKP. I don?t think I will be making the trek there again?after 30 years of frequenting the establishment? Read more

New owners more choices. Decided to play it safe and stick to something simple. Spicy eggplant was tough and beef dish was... over cooked. Alternative service but not good won't be back Read more

Extremely disappointed!! This USE to be the best in the area before new owners. Now it's at our bottom where we won't... return. First the soup last night wonton was extremely rough as hard to chew. Tasted freezer burn. Very off taste in thebroth. I ordered chicken chow mein, umm when did chow mein all of a sudden come with pork fried rice? I've had it there beforeand had the NOODLES!! Everything is extremely oily. No where near the same. Sorry but time for another customer that alwaysenjoyed to move onto another establishment. Read more

Walked in tonight and was completely taken aback by the remodeling. It then caused me to ask the not so friendly hostess if the... place was under new ownership, and she said yes. I was leery about ordering but decided to try it since I came quite a distancefrom Sussex County. I was about to place my order and circle items on the paper menu, when I realized they were reusing menus.I told the hostess I wanted a fresh menu since I didn't want to have any confusion for the chefs. A few menus below the one Iwrote on, also had been used and items circled.... Very bizarre. My family and I wouldn't make the drive often, but when we did,we knew we could depend on Hong Kong Palace. That was the Hong Kong Palace of Old. I compared an old menu to a new menu and Idid not see that the prices increased except for a few items and the "special family dinner" choices. But the food clearly didnot taste the same. We ordered spring rolls that seemed excessively greasy, and we ordered moo goo gai pan which was notprepared exactly as the old Hong Kong Palace had, but even that was okay except they were exceptionally light on any vegetablesin the dish. We also ordered diced cut roast pork with almonds and the pork was not diced, it was full size pieces that weneeded to cut with knives. And the last dish we ordered was beef lo mein, and again our biggest complaint was the lack ofvegetables. Clearly the most noticeable thing to my husband and I was that the rice was not fresh. The white rice had a crunchto it indicating that it was a day old. It was not the soft, fluffy rice that we were used to. To say we were disappointed wouldbe an understatement. When we would be jonzing for Chinese food, we knew we could depend on Hong Kong Palace but not anymore.???? For those prices, it's just not the same. Read more
