5Aug.2022 First and last time going here. My cubed chicken in my Nachos Del Sol(they were out of the chili for these nachos)were... dry and my neighbor and her friend who order the crab mac & cheese was disappointed (our waiter didn?t know how the dish wasprepared (w/ lump crab or crab cake) and my neighbor and her friend were disappointed when their plates were served and it wasw/a crab cake on top of elbow pasta. On top of that our waiter tossed the straws for our drinks on the table by each person atthe table. As lunch was ending for us, our waiter screwed up our checks and we told our waiter who was on what check before ourlunch was ordered. This spot is fortunate for the generous 2 stars. Read more
I'm embarrassed to write two poor reviews in a day, but the experience unfortunately was so sub-par it begs sharing. After... spending over 60 dollars on 2 pizzas and a salad, we at least hoped the food would be good. I'll keep this short - itwasn't. The pizzas looked like they'd been made hours before. Neither had more than a dollars' worth of toppings. If you likebread that you pay over 20 bucks for...well maybe this is your place. The salad was edible, but the lettuce was going bad and ifyou've ever had a Margherita pizza before...don't expect to actually receive that when you order it. Read more
We ended up here when the restaurant we had planned to go to closed for bad weather. I didn?t even know this place existed but... it was such a lucky find! Our waitress Christa is just what I want in a server: attentive without being intrusive, helpful inmaking menu suggestions and honest about menu items that aren?t the best. Everything she suggested was fantastic! We did thetuna tostada and the fried avocado appetizers. My prime rib sandwich was heavenly and the balsamic onions are what made it.Bonus: it heated up beautifully the following day. The worst food in the Hagerstown area. Service was abysmal as well. When we arrived, we requested to eat our appetizers in the... restaurant while we waited for our entrees to be prepared. This request seemed to cause the host to become very confused. Wewere only given one set of silverware and a one menu for a party of two (one toddler). We had another adult join us after wewere seated and no additional menu or silverware was brought out so we had to get ourselves. As for a he cuisine, the crabnachos were not worthy of a photo given it was chips smothered in dressing and red onion with a ripped up crab cake (99% filler)thrown about. We actually had trouble determining if they in fact had crab at all. The food was hit or miss -either over cookedor undercooked fries (we had two orders). Our plates and menus sat on the table for the duration of our visit allowing littleroom for our entrée?s. The crab cake salad, as seen in the photos, had the same disappointing crab cake that was served withthe nachos. Upon getting our check, we noticed several meals did not match the menu prices by several dollars. The staffinformed us the prices should only have about a 50 cent increase compared to the printed amount. Even more frustrating was thatthis information was not shared until after they charged our cards. When we presented the discrepancy, the waitress offered tocover the funds herself to resolve the discrepancy. We declined her offer and would never take money from a staff member forissues the restaurant is responsible for. Had we had more time during our visit, we would have asked to speak with management(this was not offered by our waitress).
