Hartle's as I understand it to be is an area staple. Pretty much anytime I'm in town to visit my in-laws, we stop to grab a sub,... at minimum for when we get home. Their bread is very soft and absorbs any sub "juice" without becoming soggy. I've had prettymuch every type of sub on the menu and never been disappointed. Their cheeseburger sub is a fav amongst our family. Their soupshave also always been delicious. Nice to see local restaurants with history stay open through and after the pandemic. Fairpricing and good quantity of meat/toppings without having to ask for extra. Read more
Grew up in Hagerstown. Hartles has a long rich traffic in this community. Stopped there today to get some lunch. Subs were just... ok. Way too many onions and the roll was a little soggy from all the onion juice. The worst part was how unprofessional thestaff was. The lady was complaining and cussing the whole time about a co-worker and did not have the filter to wait until weleft. Then she apologized that we had to hear all that. Well we didn't have to hear. She should have kept her comments toherself until we left. I will not go back to that environment for a mediocre sub. Read more
I've been all over. Wherever I call home I try to find a quite place to eat, vibe, and just enjoy my surroundings. These places... are hard to fine, but after 3 months of living in Hagerstown I've found my spot. I'm a.simple man... always have been. Icouldn't ask for anything more from this brilliant place. 10/10 on customer service, food(touches your soul), atmosphere, andamazing family- welcoming vibe.
