We just had a dinner at Spring Bistro of Crystal Springs Resort. I didn't know this place and didn't have time to check the... reviews, so I did order the dishes you cannot go wrong with, the salad and margaritas pizza (usually I'm more about fine dinningdishes).My friend ordered a pizza and the new york strip steak. The salad's price was $17 and it was oversalted, had novegetables in it other than lettuce, baby greens (no tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.), tree croutons, and cheese. It was inedible,like it was not washed while leaving a sandy texture on my teeth. I had to send it back, but they did try to charge us anyway.My friend had a bad experience also with his $48 steak. The steak was ok but when he was enjoying the mash potato, he had somehard, rocky textured object in it. He hurt his tooth and was afraid to finish his dinner. My drink, red sangria, was watery andwith no fruits in it. We are easy going, happy diners most of the time and appreciate good food and hard working personnel,which usually indicate our high tips. At such beautiful, classy place like Crystal Springs, we would never think that we had toleave the restaurant hungry, and having such bad experience. Not sure why the reviews are so bad for this place. My girlfriends and I went on a Friday night and we had an awesome time. The... service was great, food was great! Would definitely recommend. Views were beautiful. They didn?t rush us so we had plenty oftime to sit and enjoy our delicious meals. Read more
Falling very short on expectations. Homemade seltzer charged and sold as mineral water. I told the server all our dishes had... cold veggies and completely raw potatoes. Oh sorry repose. The fregola was dry pasty and overcooked. Not a good idea servingpasta in a hot skillet. Kudos to the cook for pulling that off. We had reservations for the Bistro for a party of 12 this past Saturday. It took us almost a month to get the correct time for... our reservation and we spoke with the front desk numerous times to complete the reservation, as you are unable to speak directlyto anyone from the restaurant. Day of, we received a confirmation call. When we arrived, we were informed that we would not beable to sit together but rather, would be at two separate tables which were a fair distance from one another. This completelydefeats the purpose of a family dinner and was not going to work for us. The hostess explained that it was the only option eventhough there were many vacant tables. I asked to speak with the manager as this was not conveyed to us at any point (not whenmaking the reservation, not with the confirmation). The hostess left and returned with the solution of putting a party of 12 atan eight top. ?It would be tight? tight she said, but she could do it. Again, I told her that this would not work and I wantedto talk to the manager. With a huff, she left to call him. At this point other members of the party began calling restaurantsin the area and we were quickly able to find an alternative. We cancelled the reservation. The manager eventually surfaced andapologized and would now seat us as a party of 12 at one big table. The manager explained some new policy that apparently wasnot relayed to us and assured us he would talk to the front desk about communicating it. Too little too late. We took ourbusiness elsewhere. I was very skeptical having dinner here our first night because I read the reviews and they were authentic issues that happened... to those clients. Based on my experience it would seem that there has been some sort of change in management or operationsbecause we had a wonderful time here. First of all, the manager was able to adjust the seating for our party which was not aneasy request. Secondly the waiter was very attentive, polite and knowledgeable. Finally, the food was delicious, my steak wasperfect, the octopus was fresh and even the duck was great and that?s a hard one to nail down so two thumbs up ????. Read more
